How do I reset my Dlink router to factory settings?

Dlink router is very widely used router in today time. dlinkrouter is high performance router which make to share your broadband connection to other device in very easy way. There is an another external antenna which enhance your wireless network coverage to avoid weak signal streaming and you get reliable internet connection. It also contain repeater mode which is used to extend of your wireless network range.

But as we know that Dlink is network distributing device with another devices. So user is facing so many issue to get network like. They are not getting proper network or your network might be breaking down or not getting network in streaming way.

There are some steps by following you can factory reset your Dlink router:

• You need to press and hold reset button for 10 seconds with the use of sharp paper clip
• Now you need to release the button. Then your dlinkrouter start rebooting itself automatically.
• In next step, you need to wait for 15 seconds before continue setup
• Now your Dlink router use default setting for your network configuration which includes the default SSID and password or WEP encryption key.

Note: you need to reconfigure your Dlink router to match with previous settings which you have assigned to other network accessing devices. If you do not so, other devices will not be accessing the network from your Dlink router.

• Then go to in advance settings for both 2.4G and 5G band
• Now you need to click on Wi-Fi channel box and select the channel which you desire and click on save

Change your wireless router location:

First you need to ensure that your Dlink router must be placed in open area which should be well ventilated for getting proper network signals

• There might be possibility that you have other house held devices at home like cordless phone, radio, television, radio etc. As we know that Dlink wireless router works on 2.4 Ghz frequency and cordless phone is using 2.4 Ghz frequency also there might be an chance for network interferences and not getting proper network connectivity. So in this case you have to change network frequency for your network router. We know that Dlink router default network frequency is 6 so you can set network frequency from 2.4 Ghz to 11 to avoid network interferences.
• Wireless signal might can affected due to keep metal sheet between your Dlink router and connected devices or there might be any kind of wall and furniture between your router and connected devices which might be responsible to get weak network signal or network dropping down.
