The D-Link router is powered by MediaTek MT7621 @880 MHz Chipset, 64 MB RAM, and 8 MB flash. In this blog post, we go over how to Setup D-link Dir-878.
The DIR-878 must first be positioned close to your modem for internet access. Maintaining an open area for your router is crucial for improving the coverage area and network signal strength.
Turn off your modem right away if it's on. You have now connected your modem to the router using an Ethernet wire. Put an Ethernet label with the modem on one end and the router's internet port on the other. Now, connect your modem back in, turn it around on, and wait for about a minute until moving forward.
It is now necessary for you to connect the power adapter that came with the router to the power socket. Once the power button is pressed, wait about a minute for the LED indicators to transition from orange to solid white. This device's LED indicator is situated at its front.
You must connect to the WiFi network indicated on the accompanying WiFi configuration card if you are doing this setup or setup process from a PC in wireless mode. The sticker fastened to the bottom of the router also has the name and password for the WiFi network printed on it.
To configure your DIR-878, you must first open any installed browser on the computer connected to the network. If the D-Link setup wizard does not open immediately, go to http://dlinkrouter.local./ and follow the on-screen instructions. The default username must be admin, and the password field must be empty.
