Why is My Dlink Router Not Working?

• In another condition if suppose if you forgot your router username and password, so it is required to reset your Dlink router with factory setting. By factory resetting option, you are required to press the reset button for few seconds on the reset hole which is located at the bottom of the router. You need to press that reset hole with the help of pin and the power LED  button start blinking and thereafter you need to wait for a minutes to reset your router and switch on

• You need to restart your internet modem and Dlink router together

• You need to make sure that modem to router connection cable is connected

• You need to try to connect modem with the laptop using LAN cable directly. You only confirm that your modem is providing internet to you.

If in any case, if your router does not reset, you need to find the reset button which is located at the bottom of the router. You need to press that reset button with the help of paper clip or pin for approximate 10 seconds 

Factory resetting of router will send back to its box pack original position. You have to assign new password for your dlink router and any type of setting which you had done earlier, you need to do it again from fresh end. Thereafter you are required to restart your PC and connect your PC with the internet.

• First you need to open any web browser on your personal computer

 

• Thereafter in the browser address bar, you are required to type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar section and press enter button

• Now you will get a webpage where you need to enter your router credentials like username and password

• You are required to type admin in the username section and leave the password column blank

• Now you need to tap on the setup wizard button

• Click on the launch internet connection setup wizard button

• To setup administrator password which is very useful to login your portal

• Now you can setup your time zone as per your country

• Thereafter choose your internet connection type

• Click on copied PC MAC Address

• Now you can store your setting thereafter click on the connect button to store your setting . Your router will restart  which will take some time approximate one or two minute to reflect all the setting which you have done earlier

Process to create wireless network:

• First you need to sign in your router by entering web address 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of the installed browser on your personal computer which should be connected to the router through the internet.

• Thereafter you are required to click on the setup tab

• Now you need to click on wireless setting

• Thereafter click on enable wireless box option

• Now you need to type your network name which network you wanted to create

• Here in this section, you need to choose WPA2 as the security mode

• You are required to setup a strong password that contains characters with alphanumeric codes or numbers. Either you remember those passwords or you can write it down some other safe places to retrieve it again when you forgot your password

• Now you need to click on save setting option to save the setting which you had done earlier

• Now reboot your router after setting it up your dlink router and keep wait for one or two minutes to reflect all the settings

• Now your wireless network is ready to use and you can connect all of your network devices with the router
